Data Description

The Texas School Health Profiles (Profiles) is a system of surveys assessing school health policies and practices in Texas. Profiles surveys are conducted every two years by the Texas Department of State Health Services among middle and high school principals and lead health education teachers.  Approximately 500 schools are chosen at random to participate by completing a principal and lead health education teacher questionnaire.

Measure Information

Percentages and confidence intervals are not displayed for sample sizes of less than less than 30. A confidence interval is the range of values around the sample percentage that is 95% likely to contain the actual population percentage. Data are unavailable for 2000 through 2012, and 2024 due to insufficient response rates.
