Health Professions Resource Center (HPRC)Data Description
Supply Tables are created from licensing files provided by the licensing boards and credentialing agencies for each specific profession.
Some factors to keep in mind:
- Supply numbers represent professionals with a current license and a practice address (or mailing address when practice address not available) in Texas.
- The ratio of population to provider is calculated by dividing the total population of an area by the total count of professionals in that area.
- The ratio of provider to 100,000 population is calculated by dividing the total number of professionals in an area by the total population of that area, then multiplying the result by 100,000.
- Some professionals may hold a current license for more than one profession and will be counted in each corresponding supply table.
- Population numbers correspond to the population projections from the Texas Demographic Center for the corresponding year.
- Data for years not included on this dashboard may be available. Please contact the Health Professions Resource Center for more information.
